Kawasaki has a long and storied history in motocross.
A full decade before Honda took the plunge with its game-changing CR250M Elsinore, Kawasaki motocross machines were plowing the dirt tracks of Japan. They were the first of the “Big Four” to wade into the uncharted lands of motocross with a purpose-built off-road racing machine essential to bringing the sport of Old World motocross to a new and enthusiastic audience.
Over the years, Kawasaki has often been at the forefront of motocross machine design. Never afraid to push the limits, red and then green machines have always been quick to embrace new technology in motocross. Some of those bets paid off (disc brakes) and some less so, but no matter how successful the innovation, Kawasaki kept trying new things and always pushing forward. This pioneering spirit helped spur competition and benefited all motocross machines.
