DIAMETER OF THE SCREW
The diameter of a screw is the diameter of the threaded part, expressed in
millimeters.
LENGTH OF THE SCREW
For a screw whose head is generally above the surface, the measurement is taken under the head and ends at end of the threaded part.
For a countersunk head screw whose head is flush with the surface, the measurement is taken with the head and ends at the end of the part threaded.
In our example, a 6x35 screw is a screw with 6mm diameter and 35 mm length.
